15 Oct 2010

The Kuwait Ports Authority has commissioned Netherlands-based consultancy and engineering firm, DHV to develop plans for nine ports in the country. The project includes the redevelopment of three existing ports in Kuwait City, as well as six new facilities along the 300 kilometer long coastline. The new coastal ports are aimed at providing better facilities for fishing boats as well ferries serving the offshore islands and boats used by government departments.
